MODEL-IT ! workshop week2 bacelona pavilion and conceptual models

For the bacelona pailion, I spent about 9 hours on this and I used the mattress in the bathroom as my found material and i used it for the water because i think the repetition of the pattern shows the waves and the ripples of the water. I found this is quite hard to get a straght and clean edge when using balsa wood, but then after i attended the lecture in which some of our classmate are giving presentation on the their models, I finally found out the way to make a nice edge which is using sand paper.

My first conceptual models is not really good because i just think in sode the box without really developing the space in it , I redo the model at home and i think the result is much more interesting than the previous one that i did. and i have made 2 conceptual models too, ine of them i am using the white card board which is really good in making models which straight edge because it gives a really clean edge, and the other one is came from the idea of the nagative space of the one in white cardboard. I was then decided to use the white cardboard for my site model because the tidiness and the clean feeling white cardboard gave to me.
